Hulkageddon shmulkageddon, leaving aside the rights/wrongs whatevers of hisec ganking (each to their own I say) one thing has struck me about this.
Concord blow up ships for engaging in criminal activity, said criminal is then instantly recompensed for the loss?
Imagine the R/L police coming round and kicking down a drug dealers door with a big shiney metal key with handles. How far do you think said drug dealer would get claiming on his buildings insurance, no matter how comprehensive?
Or a guy who's car gets trashed while he's trying to escape from a police pursuit? I suspect it would come to no more than a good after dinner story for the insurance rep.
Let folk suicide gank in hisec if they want. It just seems incredible that they then get paid for losses incurred.

Insurance fraud should work itself out once the mineral basket rebalances (especially if as many hulks as they hope vanish in a puff of inattentive unaligned howls of grief)and it does take a fair bit of work to actually commit large enough to show significant profit. Theres also the fact that new players who get unlucky are wiped out by and certainly arent gonna go roaming losec/engaging pvp. Its more the specific instance of being paid for losses when you incur the wrath of the authorities. What next, insurance for CCP banning your account and taking away your precious RMT iskies? not likely. Make criminals pay the full price for their actions.
Oof, I just realized Im starting to sound like a tory

Touche'
So, A corporation (pend insurance) which works closely and in aggreement with the SCC (a subdivision of concord)recompenses criminals for the actions of their partners (concord)
Nitpicking aside, it allows characters to indulge in criminal activity with no real repercussions. There is ofc sec status loss, and Im sure that thought really upsets the likes of Helicity and others who's sec status went **** up a long time ago.
IM not saying that suicide ganking should be stopped, far from it. I love the fact this game allows you to do pretty much anything you want up to and including attacking the police themselves. But since pretty much every other activity in this game has some risk, even in station trading, why not suicide ganking?

nope, never undocks carebear loving that people are out doing the thing they love, whether its blowing up hulks or mining and watching their hulks blow up, either way Im all for it.
IM guessing you just really dont get my original if (much thanks to all those who pointed out) badly posed point.
Drunk much?
Incidentally, apologies for using r/l in my OP. First forum post, I guess I misjudged the reaction to using r/l hypothetical examples to point out what seemed an unrealistic situation. I can suspend my disbelief about lazors and spaceships big as cities, but criminal activity being subsidised by an insurance company that works with the law enforcement peeps seemed a touch too far.
